Summer Vacation is Here! Time to Start Piano Lessons!!

Summer is here and it's time to decide what activities to get our kids signed up for!

Here it is again! Summer is once again here and school break has begun! Summer is a great time to start taking piano lessons, especially here in Arizona, since the only thing outdoors you can really do is swim. So why not enjoy a nice inside activity this summer. But in all seriousness, summer is really a great time to start taking piano lessons for children. During school break it gives students a chance to focus on learning the beginning basics of music before heading back to school and the homework that takes up their time.

I would love my child to become a great pianist during the summer!

Many parents are also looking for fun activities to put their children in during summer vacation and piano lessons tend to make that list. Although it is a very fun activity, lessons should be continues on after summer break is over if you really want your child to be able to learn how to play the piano. It does take more than eight to ten weeks to learn how to not only read notes, but all the other signs and symbols going on in music. Then once you have that mastered, it will take some time to perfect your tone and technique. Don't worry, you'll still have plenty more to learn after all that if you'd like to develop great sight reading skills and become an excellent pianist who can play advanced music.

Giving your child a head start to the upcoming school year!

Another top reason parents love to begin their children in piano lessons is because it does help them develop focus and concentration. I'm sure you've heard the phrase, "if your good at math, you'll do good in music", and really it's not too far off. Many parents notice their children doing better in school after taking piano lessons for some time. When they start up their next school year I get told how much better they are doing then before they had started piano lessons. So maybe we should switch the phrase to, "if you do well in music, you'll do well in school (not just math)".

You're never too young, too old, or too cool to start learning how to play the piano!

There's nothing we love more than giving the gift of learning how to play the piano and understanding how to read music to our students. Whether a young child, or a child of any age, or maybe you're an adult that has always wanted to learn how to play the piano we would love to help you achieve your musical goals! Don't worry we also have accelerated piano lessons for teenagers who don't want to take the piano lessons geared toward younger beginners. So if you're teen loves music and would love to learn how to play the songs from their favorite artists and bands, we have you covered.
